STARTED DOGS ARE MY SPECIALTY. I AM VERY PASSIONATE ABOUT TAKING A PUP & TURNING IT ON TO RUNNING RABBITS. MY DEFINITION OF A STARTED DOG IS NOT WHAT SOME PEOPLE CALL A STARTED DOG. YOU KNOW SOME PEOPLE WILL CALL A DOG STARTED BECAUSE IT RAN A RABBIT 15 YARDS & BARKED 3 TIMES. I WILL NOT EVEN CONSIDER A DOG STARTED UNTIL IT IS HUNTING ON ITS OWN & STAYING IN THE RACE WITH THE OTHER DOGS.

MOST OF THE PUPS I START ARE PUPS I BREED & RAISE OUT OF MY OWN PERSONAL FINISHED DOGS. I DO NOT DO THIS JUST TO SELL SOMETHING BUT RATHER TO PRODUCE THE KIND OF DOG THAT YOU CAN BE PROUD OF BECAUSE IF IT COMES FROM HERE IT WILL HAVE A GREAT FOUNDATION TO BUILD ON & YOU CAN FINISH IT OUT BY PUTTING TRACKS ON IT & HARVESTING SOME RABBITS OVER THEM.

I BELIEVE PRODUCING A DOG YOU CAN BE PROUD OF STARTS WITH A GOOD BREEDING, HAVING THE RIGHT FACILITIES TO TRAIN, INTRODUCING PUPS TO RABBITS, & GOOD RUNNING GROUNDS WITH LOTS OF RABBITS, BUT MOST OF ALL, TIME INVESTED IN THEM AT A VERY EARLY AGE.

WE ARE FORTUNATE TO HAVE ALL OF THE ABOVE. I TAKE GREAT PRIDE IN HAVING YOUNG DOGS THAT HUNT & HANDLE THE RIGHT WAY.

THE GREAT THING ABOUT BUYING A YOUNG DOG IS YOU GET TO WATCH THE DOG PROGRESS TO A FINISHED DOG & YOU GET A LOT MORE YEARS OF USE FOR YOUR MONEY.

I'VE HAD SEVERAL PEOPLE TO TELL ME THAT THE YOUNG DOGS, THEY ARE BUYING FROM HERE, ARE OUTPERFORMING SOME OF THE FINISHED DOGS THEY OWN. IT IS VERY COMMON FOR PEOPLE TO BUY 1-2 STARTED DOGS FROM US & THE NEXT THING YOU KNOW THEY ARE COMING BACK TO BUY MORE.

WHEN PEOPLE SEE THE QUALITY THAT IS THE STANDARD OF OUR STARTED DOGS IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE FOR MOST PEOPLE TO BUY OR RAISE PUPS BECAUSE AFTER YOU ADD UP THE COST OF BUYING A PUP, FEEDING, VACCINATIONS, & TRAINING PEN COST YOU ARE NOT FAR FROM THE COST OF ONE OF OUR STARTED DOGS BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU HAVE THE ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY THAT YOU ARE SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON A RABBIT DOG WITH THE HUNT, LOOKS, MOUTH, & HANDLE THAT YOU LIKE. YOU NORMALLY CAN COME HERE & WATCH THE YOUNG DOG IN THE WILD PRIOR TO PURCHASE INSTEAD OF BETTING IT ALL ON THE PUP YOU BOUGHT & HAVE WAITED FOR MONTHS HOPING IT TURNS OUT TO BE A GOOD DOG. There is currently 2 started dogs available but I'm working with other dogs now & will have more ready soon. Any dog that says available under it is a dog to inquire about. If there's a dog you are interested in that says showing to someone on a certain date feel free to check back with me on that date to see if the person took that dog. I mark them available again if the person doesn't show up or doesn't take a dog they look at. I keep this page updated very regularly so it should be accurate most every time. This is the Juke/Pretty Boy cross born on 4/6/25. They are doing fantastic! I kept 3 females for myself. If you like extremely excited young dogs this is a good choice. Hunting good, run an upper medium speed, handling good & getting beeter every trip out. All these dogs need is rabbit tracks & time in the field. In the right hands these will be some very fine rabbit dogs in the future. Size should be 13-14" when fully grown. Price is $800 each

Another nice cross here. This is the Domino/Shadow cross born on 4/12/25. These are putting on a show in the wild & improving with each trip out. There is 3 more males & a female that should be coming up soon out of this cross as well. I just can't run them all at the same time but I'm sure they will take oof like these have. Good hunt, upper medium speed, handling better with each trip out. These are gonna be 13-14" tall when fully grown. Price is $800 each

This is an amazing cross out of Fancy & Pedro. They were born on 1/27/25. That's right they are not quite 6 months old & are running in the wild very well. Fancy is out of Misty & Uga which is the same exact cross that produced Ghost. Pedro is Red Ace bloodline & he is making a great name for himself to those that watch him hunt or have any of his offspring. These young dogs are doing amazing & are gonna make some special hounds if given the tracks. They have plenty of drive, good hunt, run an upper medium speed, handle extremely well, & really get excited when they smell a hot track. Price is $800 each

This is the Depants/Beudreaux cross. They were born on 1/7/25. Depants is a daughter of Midnight & Uga. Beudreaux is a son of Strawberry & Pedro. If you know about those dogs you know that this is great blood all the way around. These hounds are doing amazing especially to be 5 months old. They started quick & haven't looked back. Very good hunt, excellent handle, run an upper medium speed, & will only get better with time. All they need is time in the field to become some excellent rabbit dogs. Price is $800 each

This little girl has a very unique story behind her. Back in August I got a call from a lady who lives about 20 minutes or so away from me. She said they had a beagle that was their pet but they couldn't keep her anymore. She said she saw my website & felt like I would take good care of Lady & that Lady would be fine. When Lady came she was very sweet & easy to handle so I put her in the training pen since she had never been a hunting dog. 10 days in the training pen

& Lady had her ears all scratched up & you could tell she had definitely been running. I took her to the field & she just amazed me with her hunt,etc She just needed a chance! Every dog deserves a chance. Now when I take her she's all torn up from hunting in the thick stuff. Lady just turned 3. She's under 13" tall & is Branko bloodline & has AKC puppy papers showing she was born on 9/1/22. From being a house dog to now being a hunting dog........great story! Price is $800

This 14" red & white female is a young dog I started. She is out of the snowman bloodline. She was born on 12/16/24. She is improving each time we go to the field. She hunts good, runs an upper medium speed, & handles real good. Her only quirk is she doesn't get going hard till she gets on the first hot track. After that she will hunt & perform well the rest of the day. I believe she will outgrow that quirk soon. Price is $800
