STARTED DOGS ARE MY SPECIALTY. I AM VERY PASSIONATE ABOUT TAKING A PUP & TURNING IT ON TO RUNNING RABBITS. MY DEFINITION OF A STARTED DOG IS NOT WHAT SOME PEOPLE CALL A STARTED DOG. YOU KNOW SOME PEOPLE WILL CALL A DOG STARTED BECAUSE IT RAN A RABBIT 15 YARDS & BARKED 3 TIMES. I WILL NOT EVEN CONSIDER A DOG STARTED UNTIL IT IS HUNTING ON ITS OWN & STAYING IN THE RACE WITH THE OTHER DOGS.
MOST OF THE PUPS I START ARE PUPS I BREED & RAISE OUT OF MY OWN PERSONAL FINISHED DOGS. I DO NOT DO THIS JUST TO SELL SOMETHING BUT RATHER TO PRODUCE THE KIND OF DOG THAT YOU CAN BE PROUD OF BECAUSE IF IT COMES FROM HERE IT WILL HAVE A GREAT FOUNDATION TO BUILD ON & YOU CAN FINISH IT OUT BY PUTTING TRACKS ON IT & HARVESTING SOME RABBITS OVER THEM.
I BELIEVE PRODUCING A DOG YOU CAN BE PROUD OF STARTS WITH A GOOD BREEDING, HAVING THE RIGHT FACILITIES TO TRAIN, INTRODUCING PUPS TO RABBITS, & GOOD RUNNING GROUNDS WITH LOTS OF RABBITS, BUT MOST OF ALL, TIME INVESTED IN THEM AT A VERY EARLY AGE.
WE ARE FORTUNATE TO HAVE ALL OF THE ABOVE. I TAKE GREAT PRIDE IN HAVING YOUNG DOGS THAT HUNT & HANDLE THE RIGHT WAY.
THE GREAT THING ABOUT BUYING A YOUNG DOG IS YOU GET TO WATCH THE DOG PROGRESS TO A FINISHED DOG & YOU GET A LOT MORE YEARS OF USE FOR YOUR MONEY.
I'VE HAD SEVERAL PEOPLE TO TELL ME THAT THE YOUNG DOGS, THEY ARE BUYING FROM HERE, ARE OUTPERFORMING SOME OF THE FINISHED DOGS THEY OWN. IT IS VERY COMMON FOR PEOPLE TO BUY 1-2 STARTED DOGS FROM US & THE NEXT THING YOU KNOW THEY ARE COMING BACK TO BUY MORE.
WHEN PEOPLE SEE THE QUALITY THAT IS THE STANDARD OF OUR STARTED DOGS IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE FOR MOST PEOPLE TO BUY OR RAISE PUPS BECAUSE AFTER YOU ADD UP THE COST OF BUYING A PUP, FEEDING, VACCINATIONS, & TRAINING PEN COST YOU ARE NOT FAR FROM THE COST OF ONE OF OUR STARTED DOGS BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU HAVE THE ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY THAT YOU ARE SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON A RABBIT DOG WITH THE HUNT, LOOKS, MOUTH, & HANDLE THAT YOU LIKE. YOU NORMALLY CAN COME HERE & WATCH THE YOUNG DOG IN THE WILD PRIOR TO PURCHASE INSTEAD OF BETTING IT ALL ON THE PUP YOU BOUGHT & HAVE WAITED FOR MONTHS HOPING IT TURNS OUT TO BE A GOOD DOG. WHAT IF THE PUP DOESN'T TURN OUT? WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT ALL THAT & SEE WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER YOU WILL FIND THIS IS THE WAY TO GO!

This is the litter out of Bailey & Charger & they were born on 9/8/23. Charger is now deceased but he was a great producer of straight up rabbit dogs. This is the same cross that produced Special & Meena which are 2 very fine females that I kept from '22. Both of those dogs have been nothing short of phenomenal. These young dogs handle very well, have a lot of hunt, keep their nose on the ground, & run an upper medium speed. If you do your part with these young dogs they will turn out o be some great rabbit dogs. Should be 14 - 14.5" tall. Price is $800

This is the litter out of Strawberry & Pedro & they were born on 7/13/23. Strawberry is a daughter of Ginger & Uga. She has excellent hunt & has produced well in the past. These young dogs are doing well with very good hunt & handle. They run an upper medium speed & are coming on. They just need tracks & will improve with each trip out. This is the litter out of Classy & Tracker & were born on 7/31/23. This is a proven cross that will not be able to be made again because Tracker is now deceased. Tracker was a grandson to Greenwell's Reggie. These dogs have some serious hunt & some nice loud mouths, handle very well, & are well on their way to becoming some great rabbit dogs. If you put the tracks on these dogs you will be very impressed with the results. Should be 13.5 - 14" Price is $800

This is the litter out of Carolina & Charger & were born on 5/29/23. Carolina is a daughter to Black Briar & Uga. Charger's pedigree can be found on the Our Males Page of the website. Charger passed away a few days ago so there's not going to be a lot more opportunities to get Charger pups. These young dogs are hunting very well & handle like a dream. They will only get better with more tracks & time. The female is probably going to stay under 13" & the males are about 13.5". Price is $800 each. ****Female has been spayed due to a prolapse.

These beautiful males are out of Freckles & Banjo. They were born on 5/6/23. This is BOF bloodline all the way. I have a pedigree on them that goes back to Sandy, Joe, Scooter, Fire, & Poncho just to mention a few. That goes back a good bit. A customer from Missouri raised this litter & actually hunted them a couple of times during the season. These hounds are impressive & they are getting better with each trip out. Lots of hunt with nose down, they handle good, run an upper medium speed, & have a great future ahead of them. Price is $800 each.
